Criminal Appeals

The Criminal Appellate Division of the Attorney General's Office was created in 1991 in order to more efficiently and professionally handle the large number of criminal appeals processed by the Attorney General's Office.

By having attorneys specialize in this area, it is possible to produce a higher quality of work on a more efficient basis. Attorneys in this section regularly appear for the State in the Nebraska Court of Appeals, the Nebraska Supreme Court and the Eighth Circuit Court of Appeals.
