The Attorney General's office reviews and determines whether to litigate complaints referred to it by the Nebraska Equal Opportunity Commission alleging violations of the Nebraska Fair Housing Act, the Act Prohibiting Unjust Discrimination in Employment Because of Age and the Act Providing Equal Enjoyment of Public Accommodations. The Attorney General's Office is authorized, by statute, to file a lawsuit in the district court of the county where the alleged discrimination occurred. Complaints regarding these Acts, as well as the Nebraska Fair Employment Practices Act and the Equal Pay Act, may be filed with the Nebraska Equal Opportunity Commission which can be contacted at:
