  • Nebraska Voices for Children - Voices for Children in Nebraska educates and motivates Nebraskans to take action to better the lives of Nebraska’s vulnerable children in the areas of Health, Education, Safety and Economic Stability.
  • Prevent Child Abuse America - Since 1972, Prevent Child Abuse America has led the way in building awareness, providing education and inspiring hope to everyone involved in the effort to prevent the abuse and neglect of our nation's children.
  • Nebraska Health & Human Services System - The Department of Health and Human Services provides important and life-sustaining services to Nebraskans.
  • Netsmartz - NetSmartz provides age-appropriate resources to help teach children how to be safer on- and offline. With resources such as videos, games, activity cards, and presentations, NetSmartz entertains while it educates.

Underage Drinking

  • Leadership to Keep Children Alcohol Free - A unique coalition of Governors' spouses, Federal agencies, and public and private organizations, with an initiative to prevent the use of alcohol by children ages 9 to 15.
  • MADD Online - More commonly known as Mothers Against Drunk Driving. This non-profit organization aims at preventing drunk driving, supporting victims, and stopping underage drinking. Great information for all ages about the negative consequences of underage drinking.
  • MedlinePlus: "Trusted Health Information for You" - An information directory for medical conditions, terminology, and prevention. This is one of the best sources for underage drinking information on the internet.
  • National Institute on Alcohol Abuse & Alcoholism - This group provides leadership in the national effort to reduce alcohol-related problems. Much of their information comes from nationwide research projects that they either sponsored or collaborated on.
  • Nebraska Department of Motor Vehicles - Provides more detailed information on several Nebraska underage drinking laws, including the .02 law.
  • Project Extra Mile - A Nebraska network of community coalitions that work toward preventing underage drinking. Great guide to local prevention events and activities.
  • Substance Abuse & Mental Health Services Administration - Agency whose mission is to build resilience and facilitate recovery for people with or at risk for substance abuse or mental illness.
  • Underage Drinking Enforcement Training Center (UDETC) - Established by the Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention. Its central mission is to provide science-based, practical, and effective training and technical assistance services to states and communities working to combat underage drinking through law enforcement and environmental strategies.
  • United States Department of Health & Human Services - One of the largest federal agencies, and its goal is to protect the health of all Americans. This site contains many helpful links to information for adults, young adults, and youth on the dangers of drinking.
  • VINELink -  VINE stands for Victim Information & Notification Everyday. VINE is a free and anonymous service that provides victims of crime two important features: information & notification. Use VINElink online or call the Nebraska State VINE Hotline.
